I also love Groovy as a dynamic language, perhaps you would laso consider including a Groovy interface as well as Python or I am assuming you will use jython.

|24.233.163.xxx |2009-09-03 08:22:07 SomeFunkyDude - awesomethere were some imperfections in the rendering, and was a little sl*!?ish, but so far it looks good, like I said on blendernation if it suffered any performance issues people could just go download the official release, but having ported like this makes it easier to prototype models from the web on the go from any workstation with JVM installed.

I'm sure people will find use for it. I'm still pretty amazed to see that it is just about identical to actual Blender. o.o
