JParticleSim is a Java particle simulator/editor which uses Java3D. The code was originally written around 2003 and was based on c code written by Dave Astle for the book: OpenGL Game Programming. The sofware was updated in 2008 for creating xml based particle effects for the XBox 360 game: Mechanizable Mayhem which was entered in the 2008 Dream Build Play Contest.
I am currently looking for people who would be interested in helping to make this software into a high quality, open source particle system editor for use in XBox 360 games and for other uses. If you think this sofware would be useful, please leave a comment saying so. Also please point out any other free particle system editors for use with XNA. Thank you.
